as we hear the raven's cry.

I'm sort of craving crepes and carousels in the
dark and snow. But, alas, this is not for me.

I went to admire the chainmail top I've been lusting over,
but it's no longer there to be lusted over. I'm a little
letdown, but hey. There'll be more chainmail,
there must be!

I bet Klingons listen to Amon Amarth.

bus fare.

searching for [exact] change is a piss off. seriously. i always need to borrow because I'm only ever left with dimes and pennies. why is that? maybe for the same reason I am looking for the change in the first place? Le bus. Indeed.

don't you love well dressed guys?

[patrick swayze is incredible.]

carving the eye of a god...

we've got like, a foot of snow, and apparently it's going to keep on coming for close to a week. it was -10 when I left the ice rink on Friday, which isn't all that cold, I suppose... but it's certainly not all that usual here.

i watched 'la vie en rose' today, you should do the same.

What it is that inspires obsession.

  • black coats. all different lengths, cuts, textures, but mostly black winter coats [military, peacoats, vampir-esque, pirate-like, classic, china doll worthy, fur trimmed, high collared...
    i could continue? ]
  • boots. usually slouchy, almost exclusively black. sometimes brutal, sometimes ridiculously subtle. studded, spiked, heeled, buckled, i love boots.
  • cheekbones. like knives, razorblades, axes. sharp, concave, high, drastic, feline, poetic. it's an obsession, must i justify it?
  • trainwrecks. figuratively speaking, like Edith Piaf, Lindsay Lohan, Amy Winehouse, etc. I don't know why, duh. just like them.
  • candy barr's dancing. seriously.
  • "valentine" from Francesca Lia Block's book "Echo"
  • Cradle of Filth. this obsession is fortified by the fact that my other obsessions are part of this one. boots, cheekbones, trainwreck references [faust, elisabeth bathory... ]. s'all good.

of course I love Gaahl. His face is incredible, and I love how softspoken he is. There's something about his eyes that reminds me of John Lydon, too. He also seems extremely charismatic and charming. Love people like that.
[and Gorgoroth do look incredible.]

also, i love the cut of her coat, it's gorgeous. in black, please?

graveyard shifters.

this movie was purely eye candy. aside from stunning
visuals, there's no reason to watch it. trust me. I couldn't even finish it.
